SSC MTS Examination Pattern, Syllabus & Result 2017: – Staff Selection Commission or SSC is going to conduct its Examination for the recruitment of MTS. SSC MTS Examination Pattern, Syllabus & Result 2017
Staff Selection Commission abbreviated as SSC, is responsible for the conduction of the MTS examination. Candidates can have access to the SSC MTS examination pattern and syllabus through this article. SSC MTS Paper I 2017 will be an Objective Paper of 150 Marks in Pen and Paper Mode. The duration of the paper would be for two hours. The question paper will be consisting of four sections A, B, C and D of General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness respectively. The Section A will have 25 questions each of one mark. The Section B will have 25 questions each of 1 mark. The Section will have 50 questions each of 1 mark. The Section D will have50 questions each of 1 mark. There will be 40 minutes extra given to all the candidates with Physical disability.
SSC MTS Paper II 2017 will be a Subjective Paper of 50 Marks in Pen and Paper Mode. The duration of the paper would be for 30 minutes. The question paper will be consisting of Short Essay/Letter in English or any other language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. There will be 15 minutes extra given to all the candidates with Physical disability.
Instructions for SSC MTS Examination
General Intelligence and Reasoning
It would consist of questions of non-verbal type. The test will consist of questions on similarities and differences, space visualisation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, etc. The test will also consist of questions prepared so as to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other related functions.
Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence making, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. will be tested in this section of Paper I.
This paper will consist of questions on problems related to Number Systems, Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
Questions will be prepared to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/ her and its usability to society. Questions will also be prepared to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday life in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also have questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially on the topic regarding Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.
The Paper will be bilingual, i.e. will be prepared in English and Hindi and to the extent possible in other languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. Candidates will be required to write one short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of Constitution.
SSC MTS Examination Result Declaration
After the application forms are being filled and all the candidates have received the admit card for SSC MTS 2017, the Paper I will be held on April 16 & 30 2017 and 7 May 2017 whose result will get declared in the month of August 2017. The Paper II will be held 17 December 2017, whose result will get declared in February 2018.
